The Bonner General Ophthalmology Clinic is the only ophthalmology clinic in the greater Sandpoint, ID area. Our board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Mark Torres, specializes in corneal and refractive surgery. He has expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions, injuries, and diseases related to the eye with medical, surgical, and nonsurgical methods.
Dr. Mark Torres
Dr. Torres was most recently the Chief of Ophthalmology for the Madigan Army Medical Center, US Army, in Tacoma, Washington. He recently retired from 30 years of active duty military service in the US Army.
Dr. Torres is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He completed additional fellowship training in the sub-specialties of Corneal Surgery and Refractive Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California Los Angeles.
